As part of their English lessons, Mrs Cleaver’s year 8 English group have been studying Bram Stoker’s Dracula.  They have undertaken an in depth study of the context, language, characters, setting and plot.  With this in mind, they embarked on a day trip to Whitby to see Bram Stoker’s setting for themselves.

English Heritage were kind enough to allow the students in for free on a self-led visit, Mrs Challans agreed to drive the minibus and Mrs McNulty offered to support the trip for the day. What a fantastic day it was!

Several literary activities were undertaken as part of the visit as well as a brisk jaunt around Whitby itself.
