NDCYS ONLINE YOUTH MINISTRY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In response to the guidelines that have been issued by the government and the CEO’s of the Nottingham Diocese Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts, the Nottingham Diocese Catholic Youth Service will be moving to increase its online presence as of Monday 23rd March 2020.

● Monday morning Acts of Worship, live streamed at 9am every week.

● Daily updates and videos across our social media platforms; Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat & TikTok

● Weekly videos exploring different subjects, including, wellbeing and liturgical themes

● Continued weekly ‘Extra-ordo-nary’ videos In light of the ongoing situation with Covid-19, the NDCYS feel it is as important as ever to minister to the young people of our Diocese, in our schools and parishes.

The most effective, and safe way to do this at this time is through our online, and social media platforms. Therefore as a service we will be temporarily moving to an online Youth Ministry service and providing daily updates, videos and posts for our young people to engage with from wherever they are.

We are working closely with our diocesan lead lay chaplains to coordinate efforts across the diocese. For daily notifications and updates please subscribe to our YouTube channel YouTube.com/ndcyslive and keep an eye on our website NDCYS.com/live.

For all other social media platforms, including TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Spotify simply search NDCYS. We encourage you to share this online initiative with all young people and staff via any e-learning platforms you are using and ask you to encourage everyone to follow and subscribe to the relevant online platforms. We will endeavour, as always, to provide our young people with opportunities to discover community, come to a friendship with Christ and a deeper awareness of themselves.
