Why choose St Peter and St Paul?

The school was founded in 1955 and was a vision of Monsignor Atkinson to provide Catholic secondary education for children in the parishes of Lincoln. Today, the school maintains its Catholic traditions and continues its role in the mission of the Church. Our gospel values and the principles of respect and consideration are fundamental to everything that we do.

St Peter and St Paul’s is now a Catholic Voluntary Academy meeting the needs of young people aged 11 – 18. Throughout its history, St Peter and St Paul’s has always sought to enhance the life chances of those who choose to study at the Academy.

Choosing the right Academy for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We want to help and guide you in making that choice. You should decide to send your child to St Peter and St Paul’s because you know that they will have many opportunities to be successful here. We are all working hard to make this Academy the very best it can be and students come here knowing they will be safe, happy and successful from Year 7 and beyond, into the sixth form.

Our Catholic identity is at the very heart of this school and we strive to develop our students’ knowledge and understanding of their faith in our teaching, but especially by example. At St Peter and St Paul we welcome students from many faiths and backgrounds.  Our real challenge is to work each day to make our faith a living Christian experience. We are here to support students to make both an academic journey, and a faith journey. We cannot do this in isolation, and seek to form a constructive, honest and mutually supportive partnership with our parents which will support each young person to achieve success. The principles of our life and work as an academy are encapsulated in all that we do.

At St Peter and St Paul’s Catholic Voluntary Academy we continually strive to make a difference. You are more than welcome to arrange a personal visit to the Academy and see our vibrant community in action. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and arrange a visit.
